Something to keep in mind, whether the proposal is small/intimate or a big party, make the proposal special and about the two of you.

Decide where you want to propose. Do you have a special spot that you consider yours? Are you planning on doing it at a business, if so make sure you speak with the company owner/manager beforehand. Are you going to do it outside? Check weather forecasts and have a backup plan, maybe you do not mind the rain but it could ruin your plans.

But whether or not you decide to have the moment documented, be sure to that you plan something nice for your significant other to wear. People enjoy looking and feeling nice during significant moments in their lives; especially if there are pictures involved.
Plan what to say. Whether you are planning a long romantic speech or just something sweet and more to the point make sure to have a plan. No one wants to get tongue tied during a memorable moment.
