October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a time for men and women alike to come together in solidarity to show our never-ending support for those diagnosed with this severe disease.
One out of every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes, a trying disease for which there is no cure. But, there is hope. In 1991, the National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded by Janelle Hail, a breast cancer survivor. Since this time, she and her foundation, along with many others, have worked to raise awareness for those struggling with breast cancer and their immense hardship. October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, has now become a symbol of firm unity between women with breast cancer and those supporting them in their ongoing battle.
This October, at McCaskill & Company, we will be wearing pink jewelry in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we encourage you to do the same. Take this time to show your support for women with breast cancer and their loved ones, learn more about this disease, or even see what you can do to help. A battle with breast cancer can be one of the most difficult health crises on a woman's life, but hope can be a powerful ally. Let your pink jewelry be a symbol of support for those struggling with breast cancer, and maybe together we can bring an extra glimmer of hope to their lives.
